Bethlehem Casino Bashing

Let’s go back to January 26th 2012 and the scene of the original incident.

this guy beat his girlfriend nearly to death but holds casino responsibleThis Lock Haven, Pa., man sad excuse for a human is accused of trying to suffocate his girlfriend with a pillow and beating her enough to cause severe brain injuries during a fight Monday in their Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem hotel room, Bethlehem police report.

Police on Tuesday withdrew charges of simple assault and harassment that were filed Monday against Nicholas Aaron Mullins, 27, and charged him with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and terroristic threats.

Bethlehem police Lt. Mark DiLuzio said the more serious charges were filed after police spoke with Caitlin Shields and doctors at St. Luke’s Hospital and learned the severity of her injuries. Shields suffered a subdural hematoma that was not readily apparent when city police responded to the hotel room.

Shields remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, records say. She experienced a severe blow to the right side of her head that caused her brain to shift, rupturing blood vessels and causing her brain to swell, St. Luke’s neurosurgeon Michael Kramer told police, according to court documents. St. Luke’s could provide no information this morning on Shields, a woman in patient services said, but police said she was still in the hospital.

At 4:56 a.m. Monday, city police were called to the hotel after a man in the room next door to Mullins and Shields reported hearing a man yell, “I’m going to (expletive) kill you, get out of the room,” records say….

Mullins was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of bail where he spent the last 4 years serving what this journalist thinks is a light sentence for nearly killing his then girlfriend.

It is also this journalists opinion that any man who lays a violent hand on a woman is a piece of shit excuse for a human and the least manly thing a male can ever do. I therefore have no qualms in granting Nicholas Aaron Mullins full and complete toss-burger. He’s balding too I see so – Balding Wank-Burger!

Fucktard Sues Casino for Serving Him Drinks

A Pennsylvania man who spent four years in state prison for beating his girlfriend nearly to death is suing the casino where the attack happened, alleging that they served him at least 15 drinks and thus bear some responsibility for what he did. “His life is the one that got ruined here,” the attorney of Nicholas Mullins told the Associated Press.

The AP reports that Mullins, now 31, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, served prison time and is still on probation for the January 2012 attack. Police accused him of trying to suffocate his girlfriend with a pillow in a hotel room at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem before beating her so badly she suffered brain swelling that could have proved fatal. (Mullins, in turn, claimed that his girlfriend hit him for losing $800 at the casino, and that he only “slapped” her in self-defense.)

Court Records Show that

Mullins filed suit against the Sands Casino in 2014, but the case was set for a jury trial this week. In his complaint, as the Morning Call reports, Mullins says he was served at least 15 drinkswhile he was visibly intoxicated, in violation of Pennsylvania’s so-called Dram Shop law. (Dram Shop rules are on the books in 38 states, and holds that a business serving drinks to someone who is visibly intoxicated becomes liable for any injury caused by the intoxicated person.)

The AP reports that the judge selected to hear the case, Common Pleas Judge Paula Roscioli, expressed shock at the lawsuit, noting that Mullins’ victim hasn’t opted to sue the casino herself. Mullins’ attorney Stuart Niemtzow argued that the casino should have known he drank until he got alcohol poisoning at another casino months before, and that his girlfriend also shouldn’t have been served, as she was on probation for drunken driving.

Niemtzow also argued that Mullins’ life was, as he put it, “ruined” by his felony conviction, which made it hard for him to find a job. He also claims that his girlfriend broke his nose and kneed him in the groin during the argument.
